- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Took my car to this place for a smog last month, it passed emissions, no problem but, there was a rubber hose on my vacuum line going into my pcv valve so, they failed me and stated it'd been altered, which I didn't alter. I replaced it with the correct elbow, then brought it back for a retest but, I had a battery cable problem and they couldn't test it. Once I straightened that out, I brought it back and they told me my computer had to clear before I could receive a certificate, what the hell does THAT have to do with emissions and visual, which I already cleared? I'd gone back several times and got tired of them telling me it's not clear until the LAST time, I got FED up with them, paid again at a pass or don't pay on the same day, it cleared emissions, they gave me a smog cert and I was out of there, no mention of visual or computer issues whatsoever! Then I took it back to smog n ripoff for a retest, they asked me for my registration and retested my car, guess what, miraculously, it passed, reason being is because they already saw it'd passed in the California emissions database but, they THINK I wasn't SMART enough to figure that OUT and they gave me some PISS poor excuse for why it passed. Their intentions were to take my money, give me the runaround so I'd GIVE up and not come back! I also noticed, blacks PAY before their vehicles are tested, whites PAY after it's DONE! I DON'T LIKE these people, I DON'T recommend THEM, they're CROOKS, STAY AWAY FROM THEM, you can do BETTER! Just my thoughts ...By Clint Flournoy, July 24, 2017
